ABOUT US

FoundersThat's our founder, 3rd from the left. And the cutie down in the right hand corner? Our CFO.

Our Beginnings
It all started in 1947 with a single printing press in a rented garage. Edward Kolodziej and his partner, Andy Foucek, were the entrepreneurs. Ed’s wife handled the books, and his brother covered sales and marketing.

(Richardson & Edwards? Well, suffice it to say the name was chosen by the founders for reasons too space-consuming to go into. Call us for an explanation!)

Ed's Watchful EyeNow the family’s second generation has joined the founder at the helm. Key players are: Ed Kolodziej Jr., V.P.; Marie Long, CFO; and Mike Long, V.P.

And “the family” has expanded to more than 40 dedicated employees in a vibrant company operating from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. five days a week, and delivering the complete solution to your packaging needs.

Printing Industries of America Recognizes R&E for Excellence
Richardson & Edwards, Inc. received an award for outstanding achievement in the "Single Promotional Self Mailer" category in the Premier Print Awards, the graphic arts industry's largest and most prestigious worldwide printing competition hosted by the Printing Industries of America (PIA), Incorporated, the world's largest graphic arts association.

Competing against more than 4,800 entries from printing and graphic arts firms form around the world, Richardson & Edwards received a Certificate of Merit. The company's winning submission was a fund-raiser mailer for the DuPage Habitat for Humanity called: "Raise a Few Walls". The mailer graphics looked like a house that when opened had a die-cut Habitat for Humanity volunteer raise a die-cut stud wall against graphics of the interior of an under-construction home. Richardson & Edwards, Inc. designed, printed, die cut, folded and glued the mailer.
